Jeremiah 17 Cluster We started looking at this cluster when we found Russia in Jeremiah 17:5 with a skip of –1 and just a mind-blowing verse context:
This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” (New International Version) In other words, smack in the middle of this verse is the Hebrew spelling of Russia, the fountain of communism, the worship of man and atheism in the 20th century. It was hugely disappointing to find that there was no way to extend it.
However, we have found a few long ELSs in the cluster that seem to be connected to end times events and will continue to search for more.
