The Jesus Codes in the Ten Commandments
|
An amazing cluster of Bible codes about Jesus Christ has been discovered in a key passage of the Torah. What follows is a report analyzing the findings to date.
Millions of the sons of Abraham were encamped in the bleak wilderness at the foot of Mt. Sinai. They had survived a miraculous escape from Egypt, where they had been enslaved for centuries building monuments that would defy explanation thousands of years later. They had marched through the Red Sea on dry land, satisfied their thirst with water from rocks, and eaten manna from heaven gathered from the ground.
Three months after their experience at the Red Sea, their leader Moses was called to the top of the mountain, where God would give him laws that, if followed, would bring the people blessings and happiness in a land of promise. But as an omen of the Law’s ultimate futility to reconcile God and man, the people would make themselves a golden calf and party around it even as Moses met with God.
Tradition has it that in the book of Exodus, Moses later wrote a divinely inspired account of his experiences on the mountain. Woven through the early part of this account in Exodus 18-20, when Moses receives the Ten Commandments, dozens of Bible codes have been discovered about Jesus Christ. The significance of this to Christians cannot be overstated, because they believe God would eventually send Jesus to fulfill and supersede the Law that Moses received there in the Desert of Sinai. They point to Romans 8:3, where it says, “For what the Law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature (of man), God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.”
